Biography

Francesca Beauman began her career in the UK as the host and writer (with her comedy partner Ania Dykczak) of television shows such as Ania, Fran and a Kettle of Fish (Channel 5, 2001), Show Me The Funny (Channel 4, 2002), Bring It On (BBC1, 2003-4) and Heroes of History (Channel 5, 2005). Francesca is now a writer and historian. She is the author of The Pineapple: King of Fruits (2005), The Woman’s Book: Everything But the Kitchen Sink (2007), Shapely Ankle Preferr’d: A History of the Lonely Hearts Ad (2011), How To Crack An Egg With One Hand: A Pocketbook for the New Mother (2011) and How To Wear White: A Pocketbook for the Bride-to-Be (2013). She is married with three young children and divides her time between Los Angeles and London.
