Biography

Born stateless in Seoul, Grace Jahng Lee has been awarded residencies, fellowships, grants, and mentorships from Yaddo, the Jerome Foundation, VONA,  Kundiman, Brooklyn Arts Council, the Asian American Writers Workshop, AIR Budapest, Hambidge, Jentel, Paden Institute, Caldera, Dorland, NYFA, and AWP, and was a finalist for PEN Center USA’s Emerging Voices fellowship. She has also received grants from the California Endowment, the Bixby Center, the Drabkin Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Education for her public health work with underserved communities. She has served on the selection committee for the L.A. Department of Cultural Affairs artist grants and has over two decades of experience facilitating workshops and writing grant proposals.
