Sara Lamm is a writer and documentary filmmaker. Her most recent film Birth Story: Ina May Gaskin and The Farm Midwives, co-directed with Mary Wigmore, won the Audience Award at the 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival. She also directed Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soapbox, which screened at MASS-MOCA, The American Visionary Art Museum, on The Sundance Channel, and in movie theaters throughout the US. She was profiled in 2011 by the PBS/AOL project Makers: Women Who Make America. Sara has trained with the Oakland-based organization Mindful Schools, and is certified to teach mindfulness skills to children grades K-8. She is a board member at her children’s elementary school, where she is co-chair of the school’s Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Committee.
