Marisa Echeverría is an actor, writer, and director based in Los Angeles. Her acting career spans theater, television, and film. She has performed onstage at The Public, The Guthrie, The Signature, La Jolla Playhouse, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and guest-starred on television shows including “ER,” “Law & Order,” “Rescue Me,” “The Mentalist,” and “Southland,” most recently appearing in the pilot of CBS’s “Pure Genius.” Marisa has written and/or directed several theater pieces, including Ceiling in the Floor with Lineage Dance in Pasadena. She directed the short film “Body + Blood,” which was honored in several festivals, including the IFS LA Film Fest and the Los Angeles Lift-Off Online Festival. She is currently writing and developing a web series and a feature film. She recently created shereadslikeagirl.com, a feminist blog. Marisa received her B.A. from Harvard College and her M.F.A. from NYU Graduate Acting.
