Stefanie Black

actor, writer, and director


Stefanie Black is an actor, writer, and director originally from Allentown, PA. She is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Playwrights Horizons Theater School, an alumna of The Williamstown Theater Festival and American Conservatory Theater (ACT). She is a founding member and Co-Artistic Director of the Ovation Award Winning, IAMA Theatre Company.

As an actor, Stefanie has recurred on such shows as SCANDAL (ABC), HOUSE OF LIES (SHOWTIME) and HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (CBS); as well as appeared on THE GOODWIN GAMES (FOX), GREY’S ANATOMY (ABC), BONES (FOX), ER (NBC), PRIVATE PRACTICE (ABC), RIZZOLI AND ISLES (TNT), and many others.

Stefanie is an acting teacher/coach and is on the faculty at The John Rosenfeld Studios in Hollywood, CA.

She currently has several projects in development for television and film. Her third film, “The Firefly Catcher” can currently be seen screening at film festivals around the country.

Stefanie sits on the Entertainment Advisory Board for The Young Storytellers Foundation, a mentor program, which promotes literacy through storytelling in the Los Angeles public school system. She has also been a mentor with the program for the past 7 years.
